Voice of Admiral Ackbar, Erik Bauersfeld, Dies
He passed away at his Berkeley home Sunday morning.
BERKELEY, CA - The voice actor who gave life to Admiral Ackbar in Return of the Jedi and Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Erik Bauersfeld, has died. He was 93. He passed away at his Berkeley home Sunday morning, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The versatile actor also voiced Bib Fortuna in Return of the Jedi.
Other credits include Crimson Peak in 2015 and A.I. Artificial Intelligence in 2001. Bauersfeld also lent his voice to documentaries and a video game.
