What Golden Globes Nominees will be Nom Noming on Tonight
The Beverly Hilton's exec chef Alberico Nunziata reveals the menu Hollywood's elite will enjoy at the 2017 Golden Globes ceremony.
This Sunday, Ryan Gosling, Meryl Streep, Denzel Washington and hundreds of other celebrities and members of the media will be tasting Chef Alberico Nunziata's Italian dishes at the 74th Annual Golden Globe Awards at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills.
Approximately 1,300 of Hollywood's most celebrated film stars and filmmakers will dine and participate in the live telecast airing Sunday, Jan. 8 at 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET on NBC. An additional 3,000 guests will attend viewing parties and after- parties throughout the famous hotel.
Moet & Chandon will provide the bubbly for the awards with more than 1,500 Moet & Chandon Imperial minis, 125 cases of Moet & Chandon Grand Vintage 2006 and Moet Rose Imperial magnums. Additionally, 500 Moet Diamond champagne drinks (the official cocktail of the Globes) featuring Moet champagne, orange liqueur, cherry bitters and a rock candy sugar stick will be served.
"I am so honored to be a part of this prestigious award show and I look forward to dazzling guests with our incredible menu," Nunziata said.
His three-course menu for the Golden Globes includes an appetizer of a Golden Salad featuring herb roasted golden and red beets, watermelon radish, arugula, crumbled goat cheese, roasted pistachios and grapefruit topped with a lime ceviche dressing. The main course is a duo of filet mignon and roasted Chilean sea bass with a celery puree and house made sun-dried tomato pesto. A special side dish of a 24-month-aged Parmigianino risotto topped with wild mushrooms and broccolini will also be served. A vegetarian option of a creamy mushroom risotto with vegetables will also be offered.
The meal will end with a trio of desserts including profiteroles with Amaretto vanilla cream, sugared almonds and chocolate sauce, chocolate Gianduja crunch bars with layers of praline and chocolate amaretto mousse and a Neapolitan almond cake with orange mascarpone cream all plated with a sweet strawberry coulis.
Sunday marks the 42nd consecutive year and the 46th time that The Beverly Hilton has been home to the star-studded event, which will be hosted by comedian Jimmy Fallon.
