Charlotte Wood Middle and Diablo Vista Middle Named California Distinguished Schools

Charlotte Wood Middle School and Diablo Vista Middle School were named California Distinguished Schools by State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tom Torlakson on Friday.
The Danville middle schools were two of 13 middle and high school in Contra Costa County to be named California Distinguished Schools.
Distinguished Schools must meet a variety of eligibility criteria, including designated federal and state accountability measures, and they must provide an in-depth description of two Signature Practices that their staff members believe have contributed to the success of their students, according to the Contra Costa County Office of Education.
