Community Pianos Ready For Danville Residents To Play Tunes

Town officials are encouraging people to play the pianos that are set up in downtown.

DANVILLE, CA — The Town of Danville has set up three "community pianos" in the downtown area for residents who want to make the community a more musical place. The idea came from a group of San Ramon Valley High School students who placed two brightly decorated pianos downtown last year, and it was such a success that town officials decided to add a third piano for 2019.

Town officials are encouraging people to play the pianos, or just take a picture of them and post it on social media. Suggested hashtags include #danvilleparksca, #livelocallydanville or #townofdanvilleca.

The pianos will be available for public use until Labor Day, Sept. 2, 2019.
