Danville Chef Competes For $50K Prize On Food Network Show

DANVILLE, CA — A Danville chef will be among those competing to win on season 14 of the Food Network's "The Great Food Truck Race," which premiers Sunday.

Aly Romero, a mother of three who completed culinary school later in life, will be vying to prove she's got the best food truck in the Alaska-based series, hosted by celebrity chef Tyler Florence.

She's one of three women on the Meatball Mamas food truck team. Her teammates are Jocelyn Denson and Flora Londre.

Seven teams from across the country are vying for a $50,000 prize.

Romero may be a fresh face on the show, but she's been blogging about food for years and has also served as a private chef. She's been featured on the Food Network before, plus "Good Morning America" and The Chew.

The season premiere of "The Great Food Truck Race" kicks off on the Food Network at 10 p.m./9 p.m. CT on Sunday.
