DANVILLE, CA — An online auction will soon be underway for the "Hearts Around Hartz" sculptures that have been on display in recent months.

Each of the 17 hearts dotting downtown Danville are unique and each were designed by different Bay Area artists. Some are a nod to Danville's landscape, featuring oak trees, poppies and Mt. Diablo.

The hearts will be moved to the Village Theatre & Art Gallery (233 Front St.) the week of Oct. 12, the town said in a news release. The online auction runs from Oct. 15 to 8 p.m. Oct. 20.
