Danville To Light Old Oak Tree On Black Friday

Performers will take over downtown Danville the evening of Friday, Nov. 29 as residents gather for the annual lighting of the Old Oak Tree.

DANVILLE, CA — The Town of Danville will continue its annual holiday tradition of lighting the Old Oak Tree in downtown on Black Friday, or Nov. 29, from 5:15 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event draws thousands from across Northern California and will kick off with a performance by the San Ramon Valley High School Chorus, according to the town.

Father Christmas and the Snow Angel will lead the crowd in a countdown to light the tree after local officials speak around 6:15 p.m.

Downtown Danville merchants will be open and some will provide to treats to attendees, the town said in a news release.
