DANVILLE, CA — Grace Leer again made the cut on "American Idol" after performing in her Tri-Valley backyard. Now she's hoping to make the Top 7.

Leer, who played soccer at the University of California, Berkeley and San Ramon Valley High School, is a country singer now living in Nashville, but she's quarantining back in the Tri-Valley. This week she was asked to pick a song that reminded her of home, she said.

Leer picked "Somewhere Over the Rainbow," which she said took her back to her childhood, dreaming of being a singer.
