Danville Police Department Hosting Open House

"We feel that outreach is a vital part in creating an environment of trust and confidence with our community," said Danville's police chief.

DANVILLE, CA — The Danville Police Department is hosting an open house Saturday, Sept. 21, to give community members an opportunity to tour the station, meet the officers and personnel, and check out K9 units and police drones.

"Events like the Open House are an opportunity for us to meet with residents, show who we are, explain how we do things and foster relationships," Police Chief Allan Shields said in a statement Friday. "We feel that outreach is a vital part in creating an environment of trust and confidence with our community."

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 510 La Gonda Way, with K9 demonstrations scheduled at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. as well as drone demos scheduled at 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
