Danville’s 2018 Memorial Day Ceremony To Honor Fallen Heroes

Pavers will also be available for purchase for those who wish to memorialize their loved ones who fought in battle.

DANVILLE, CA — The Vietnam Veterans of Diablo Valley will host a Memorial Day ceremony at Oak Hill Park in Danville on May 28. The Danville Community Band will perform at 10:30 a.m. and the event, which will feature Mayor Newall Arnerich, Gary Villalba and Richard Lambert, is expect to conclude at noon.

“The beautiful All Wars Memorial will be the backdrop for this opportunity to recognize those who sacrificed and died to preserve our freedoms.”

Several hundred people are expected to turn out for the event, which is free and open to the public.

An additional 637 pavers will also be available for purchase for those who wish to memorialize their loved ones who fought in battle. Pavers purchase before the end of May 2018 will be sold at the current price of $250. The paver price will increase to $300 beginning on June 1, 2018.
