Danville’s Choicelunch Teams with Associated Services

Partnership Aims to Safely Deliver Contactless Lunches to Bay Area Workers

(Choicelunch)

Danville, California-based Choicelunch, a provider of contactless school lunch programs in the San Francisco Bay Area, recently announced the organization has launched Choice Kitchen in partnership with Associated Services to solve “the office lunch dilemma” where employees return to work but don’t desire to leave the safe confines of their office. The new contactless lunch solution offers fresh, individually packaged meals delivered by Associated Services to offices throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.

“Many companies have restricted third-party access to their offices to prevent the spread of COVID-19 to their employees. As a result, many employees cannot order lunch from local restaurants for delivery,” said Justin Gagnon, CEO of Choicelunch. “What’s more, limited elevator access during the pandemic makes it challenging for employees to leave the office to go out for lunch or pick-up to-go orders. We are thrilled to partner with Associated Services to bring our proven expertise, technology, and chef-made meals to office employees… all without the worry or fuss of a traditional business caterer.”

Associated Services is already an authorized and established delivery service to many Bay Area offices because they deliver snacks, refreshments, and coffee service to businesses daily. In collaboration with Associated Services, Choice Kitchen will bring chef-made meals to employees and provide a solution to people who have difficulty leaving the office or not being able to accept a delivery from an outside vendor not already approved by the company.

Safety First

With employee safety in mind, all Choice Kitchen meals are individually packaged and labeled for each employee. There is no additional outside delivery service, as all meals are delivered by Associated Services. Choice Kitchen and Associated staff are trained in proper food safety protocols and have been operating under CDC guidelines since March 2020. The two companies do not outsource workers because they may not have the appropriate training needed during this pandemic.

Ease of Use

Using Choice Kitchen, there’s no longer any need to work with someone else in the office to coordinate lunch delivery or place orders for the “group.” Employees can order what they want, at their convenience, in just a few taps using Choice Kitchen’s online ordering platform. To make things even easier, Choice Kitchen can accommodate a company’s payment preference. The system is customizable for an employer-pay model, an employee-pay model, or a hybrid of both, for a subsidized lunch program.

Variety

Choice Kitchen’s in-house chefs craft recipes to create culinary experiences for a variety of flavor palates. An on-staff registered dietitian reviews and approves every ingredient and recipe. There is a menu for diverse dietary needs and allergen restrictions, like gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options. Once food preferences are set, items that do not meet an individual’s dietary requirements will not appear on their menu. Thoughtfully Sourced

The company uses whole, fresh ingredients sourced responsibly from trusted partners and avoids anything artificial or processed, such as high fructose corn syrup, partially hydrogenated oils and artificial sweeteners, colors, and flavors. And Choice Kitchens sources compostable or 100% post-consumer recyclable packaging to help reduce the company’s environmental footprint.

“Our mission is simple and very important to us - to deliver coffee, refreshments, and happiness to offices in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. Our partnership with Choice Kitchen strengthens that mission,” said Tom Steuber, President at Associated Services. “The office frontier has changed drastically due to COVID, and we feel it’s crucial for our customers to have a lunch option that is not only hassle-free, fresh, and delicious, but safe as well.”
