Danville Seeking Applicants for Multiple Commissions

Town recruiting for several commission positions including Art, County and Heritage Resource.

DANVILLE, CA- The Town of Danville is looking for public-minded individuals interested in serving on one of several commissions seeking new members. City Clerk Marie Sunseri said the following commissions are in the process of accepting applications.

  • Heritage Resource Commission – two regular vacancies (term ending 12/31/19). Positions must be filled by a licensed architect and a person with interest in the culture/arts of the community. One alternate position also remains to be filled (term ends 12/31/18).
  • Arts Commission – one regular vacancy (term ends 6/30/19)
  • one youth commissioner (2 year term begins 7/1/16)
  • Parks and Leisure Services Commission – one youth commissioner (2 year term beginning 7/1/16)
  • Contra Costa County Advisory Council on Aging – 1 vacancy (2 year term)

The deadline to file an application is 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25, 2016.

Applicants will be invited to interview with the Town Council on one of the following dates:

Commissioners will be appointed at the June 21 Town Council meeting.
