Hap Magee Water Feature to Close for Repairs

The water feature will be closed for repair for two days this week, as crews replace a section of safety surface in the play area.

From the City of Danville: The water feature at Hap Magee Ranch Park will be closed for repair for two days this week, as crews replace a section of safety surface in the play area. Maintenance Services Director Jed Johnson said that the safety surface will be replaced on Wednesday, June 14, 2017. The repairs will need to cure for a day, and the features are expected to reopen on Friday, June 16, 2017.

“We know that this is a popular feature with our families here in Danville, and we know it’s supposed to be heating up towards the weekend,” Johnson said. “So we felt it was important to get this repair done quickly and get the facility reopened as soon as possible.”

Signage is posted at the park, warning residents of the upcoming repairs. Work will begin early Wednesday and residents are asked not to use the water features during the closure.
