The Danville Compass Offices are collecting donations of backpacks, supplies and monetary donations to assemble backpacks for local children in need. All completed backpacks will benefit Foster Children and other Clients supported by VESTIA in Contra Costa County (Volunteer Emergency Services Team in Action). Donations may be dropped off at the 15 Rail Road location or the 190 Hartz Ave #200 location.
Due to Covid, many of the Vestia clients are having trouble with housing payments and there may not be enough money for purchasing educational supplies which will put their children at even risk.
Please note: All items must be new and may consist of fully assembled (new) backpacks, empty backpacks, supplies and monetary donations to fund the purchase of supplies for local children in need. High school backpacks are in especially high need. You may also make donations at
