Here's How To Get Rid Of Your Christmas Tree: Danville

Trees will be picked up by the city on the week of Jan. 6.

DANVILLE, CA — The year is 2020. Your Christmas tree is looking dry, limp and a little bit sad. Brittle tree needles litter your living room floor.

Now what?

Trees can be recycled curbside during the week of Jan. 6, on your regularly scheduled garbage pickup day, according to Republic Services, which serves Danville, Alamo, Diablo and Blackhawk. Place your trees curbside on collection day after removing any lights, decorations and stands. Trees that are eight feet long or taller should be cut in half.

Anyone who misses the collection week can have their tree hauled away during the regularly scheduled pickup on the week of Jan. 20.
