Kick’n Mule Sports Bar To Open In Danville

The eatery will feature 25 different Moscow Mules and a signature Bloody Mary and Mimosa bar. The restaurant is hiring.

DANVILLE, CA — A new sports bar and restaurant will soon open in Danville. The Kick'n Mule Sports Bar and Restaurant will move into the currently occupied by the Southern Sweetwater Tavern and will feature 25 different Moscow Mules, craft beer on tap and a signature Bloody Mary and Mimosa bar. Owner Matt DeLima said the eatery will offer menu items made from scratch and brunch on the weekends. A farewell party for the tavern is scheduled for April 21.

The restaurant is holding a job fair on April 21st, a sneak peak event on April 26th at 5 p.m. and a soft opening on May 10th. DeLima also owns Mavericks Country Lounge and Pick 6 Sports Lounge in Pleasanton, Pick 6 in Tahoe and the Kick'n Mule In Sacramento. The Kick'n Mule Sports Bar and Restaurant will be located at 340 Hartz Ave.

Creamistry, an Irvine-based chain that specializes in made-to-order, liquid nitrogen ice cream using all-natural and organic ingredients, will open a new location in early May in Blackhawk Plaza in Danville.

A new steak and seafood restaurant will soon open in the Tri-Valley. Rusty Skinner, one of the owners of Hop Devine, announced the second restaurant earlier this month, according to the Livermore Downtown Association Facebook page. Rusty's Chop House will make its debut in downtown Livermore later this year. To get updates about the opening date, location and menu, follow them on Facebook.

In nearby Pleasanton, Wild One Cal Mex Grill will move in to the spot formerly occupied by High Tech Burrito. The restaurant will feature organic Mexican food. Wild One will be located at 349 Main Street. Downtown Pleasanton has had quite a few changes in the last few months. Handles Gastropub closed in late February after seven years in the historic Pleasanton Hotel.
