Kiwanis July 4 Parade In Danville: Road Closures, Parade Route
Find out when you can start saving your spot along the parade route. Street closures start at 6 a.m.

DANVILLE, CA — Thousands are expected to turn out for the annual Kiwanis July 4 Parade in downtown Danville on fourth of July. The popular event will step off at 9 a.m., town officials said. Residents are asked to avoid chalking or taping off their spots along the long parade route and should wait to put out their chairs until after 6 p.m. on July 3rd.
“To be able to powerwash the entire parade route, under the current guidelines, would be cost prohibitive,” said Maintenance Services Director Jed Johnson.
Danville Town Manager Joe Calabrigo said, “ I hope that our community will do all it can to preserve and maintain the beauty of our downtown by not marking out spots and refrain from putting out chairs prior to 6:00 p.m. Monday night.” He added, “Let’s all work together to keep Danville a wonderful place to live locally.”
