Lighting Of Old Oak Tree Will Take Place Rain Or Shine
Downtown streets will be closed for the event starting this afternoon. Thousands are expected to attend.
DANVILLE, CA — The lighting of the Old Oak Tree, a long-time tradition in Danville, will take place today, rain or shine. Town officials and representatives with the Danville Area Chamber of Commerce said the annual event will proceed as planned despite a previous concern of inclement weather in the forecast.
The tree lighting ceremony will kick off at 5:15 p.m. in historic downtown Danville. Streets in the downtown area will be closed for the event starting at 1 p.m.
