Peace Is The Goal For Alamo Run

Sunday's 5K Alamo Run is a benefit for the Mt. Diablo Peace and Justice Center.

Two feet of four paws, joggers and canines are invited to join the inaugural 5K Alamo Run for peace on Sunday.

Runners will follow a circular route along Danville Boulevard and the Iron Horse Trail next to downtown Alamo.

Proceeds from the $35 entry fee will go to support the work of the Mt. Diablo Peace and Justice Center, including its annual Creating Peaceful Schools conference for educators and its Art and Writing Challenge, which provides scholarships to local middle and high school students "for their accomplishments in furthering peace."
