Pipeline Project Gets Underway
Work begins on Diablo Road and will move to Hartz Avenue.

TOWN RELEASE
A pipeline replacement project starting this week in downtown Danville will be affecting traffic on Diablo Road through the end of January.Â
Preliminary work on the East Bay Municipal Utility District pipeline replacement project began Monday, but crews will begin excavation of the pipeline on Thursday, Jan. 9.
The work will be taking place initially on eastbound Diablo Road between Hartz Avenue and Front Street.
Work hours are Monday 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Tuesday through Friday at 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. During the work, two-way traffic will be maintained at all times.
Prep work will be occurring this month on Hartz Avenue, with excavation to begin in February. All driveways along the work corridor will be accessible during the project. Motorists are asked to drive through the work zone with caution and expect minor delays. EBMUD is scheduled to complete the project by March 2014.
For more information on the replacement project, contact EBMUD Maintenance and Construction Scheduler Shelly Frank at (510) 287 0885 or  mfrank@ebmud.com.
