Outdoor Dining Approved In Danville; Road Closures Planned

Church Street and W. Linda Mesa Avenue will see temporary closures, while Hartz Avenue and Rose Street will lose some parking spots.

DANVILLE, CA — On Monday the Danville Town Council gave restaurants the all-clear to temporarily expand into adjacent outdoor areas to accommodate diners while maintaining social distancing.

Some parking spots and roads will be blocked off until the end of the month as a result, the town announced. Contra Costa County has said it will allow indoor dining July 1.

  • W. Linda Mesa Ave, eastbound from Railroad to Hartz avenues
  • Church Street, eastbound from Railroad to Hartz avenues
  • Church Street (circle) from Hartz Avenue to the Village Theatre lot (right turn into Village Theatre lot will remain open)

Expect street parking and parking lots to be closed in the following areas:

  • Parking lot at 298 Hartz Ave.
  • 7 spots at 115 Hartz Ave.
  • 5 spots at 340 to 356 Hartz Ave.
  • 2 spots at 404 Hartz Ave.
  • 2 spots at 531 Hartz Ave.
  • 5 spots in the Front Street lot
  • 4 spots in the Clock Tower lot, in front of Tower Grille
  • 4 spots in the Clock Tower lot, in front of Revel
  • 2 spots at 254 Rose St.
