Scorching Temperatures Expected Across East Bay

It is going to be blazing hot this week.

How hot? The National Weather Service has issued Heat Advisories for Tuesday and Wednesday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. both days. According to the NWS:

Heat advisory means that a period of hot temperatures is expected. These temperatures will create a situation in which heat illnesses are possible. When possible...reschedule strenuous activities and outdoor work to the early morning or late evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. It is very important to keep oneself properly hydrated with water and stay out of the direct sun. Never leave children...pets...the elderly or disabled in vehicles...even for short periods of time.

How hot? Up to 105 in the interior valleys, 90s everywhere else including the coastline all the way to Santa Cruz.

Thursday and Friday we’ll begin a very slow cool down. There’s a possibility more Heat Advisories will be posted as the week progresses.
