While Danville has been waiting for Jamba Juice to open on Railroad Avenue, a local small business smoothie and juice bar, "Açaí-Me Superfoods Café," is set to open at the Livery.
Açaí berries, pronounced “Ah-sigh-ee," comes from the acai palm tree, native to Central and South America, according to WebMD.
The berries are filled with antioxidants.
According to the Açaí-Me Superfoods Café Facebook page, they're featuring "Real food for the body, mind and spirit ... No fillers, no highly processed foods, no chemicals, no high-fructose corn syrup."
The smoothie and juice bar will be located at 406 Sycamore Valley Rd. W in the Danville Livery.
