The 'Greatest Generation' at Veterans Memorial Building Monday

Heroes from World War II will be at the Veterans Memorial Building in Danville on Monday.

The Veterans Memorial Building of the San Ramon Valley & Historic Military Museum in Danville will be open to the public on Monday for President’s Day.  Tours of this unique, local military museum collection will be provided from 9 a.m to 3 p.m. by our docents. 

Making this Monday, holiday event special is participation by local members of the “Greatest Generation,” our World War II Veterans.

These heroes are diminishing daily making this a rare opportunity for the community — especially for local students and other visitors to talk and visit.  Only on Monday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Veterans’ Memorial Building Lounge at: 400 Hartz Avenue in Danville.

The military museum is open daily Monday through Friday (except holidays) from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for tours. Monday’s President’s Day is a special event.  The newly remodeled Veterans Memorial Building features an official Contra Costa Veterans Service Representative available from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. every Wednesday to assist all veterans & their family members with benefits earned through military service.
