Stone Valley Middle School and Doris Eaton School were temporarily placed on lockdown Tuesday morning while police searched for suspects who failed to stop for a traffic violation.

Stone Valley Middle School and Doris Eaton School were placed on lockdown Tuesday morning while police searched for suspects who failed to stop for a traffic violation, said Danville Police Chief Steve Simpkins.
Two suspects were arrested after police say they crashed their vehicle on Stone Valley Way in Alamo and attempted to flee from the scene. A third suspect remains at large.
Jennifer Crackel, 30, and Michael Grande, 32, both from Antioch, were the two suspects arrested. They have been booked at the Martinez Detention Facility.

The incident began at around 9 a.m. when a Danville officer saw a suspicious vehicle on Camino Ramon. After noticing the officer, police say the driver of the vehicle then sped north on Interstate 680 and officers followed.
While police pursued the vehicle, witnesses told Danville police the suspects began throwing objects out of the car along the roadway.

The suspects took the Stone Valley Road exit and crashed their vehicle on a curb. They then tried to run away, but officers caught Crackel and Grande.
The third suspect isn't considered dangerous, Simpkins said.
Items recovered from inside the suspect’s vehicle and discarded along the roadway were stolen earlier Tuesday in a residential burglary in Castro Valley, Danville police said.
The suspect’s vehicle had been stolen from Antioch.
Crackel was charged with evading arrest, possession of stolen property, conspiracy, possession of a stolen vehicle and a parole violation.
Grande was charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of stolen property, conspiracy and a probation violation.
