Town Of Danville Seeks To Improve Community Engagement, Feedback
Town officials announced the launch of a new website which Danville residents may use to provide feedback and ideas on town issues.

DANVILLE, CA — As Danville town officials look for new and engaging ways to improve communication between themselves and local residents, the town has launched a new online tool that allows residents to provide feedback, comments, and ideas on local issues.
The Town of Danville announced the launch of www.DanvilleTownTalks.org on Tuesday, which provides a way for residents to speak their minds to town officials. The site launches just as town officials are seeking input and community feedback on Danville’s state-mandated Housing Element Update, which town officials are seeking feedback on a local survey. In addition to being able to fill out the survey online, residents will also be able to provide comments and idea on the site or via text message, town officials said.
With the State of California declaring a 'housing supply crisis' and holding all local communities if the town wants to involve as much of the community as possible in the Town’s state-mandated Housing Element Update, officials said in a news release. “The town aims to harness community feedback to create a plan that reflects Danville's core planning values while meeting regional and state-mandated housing goals.

Local officials said the platform is run through a company, Bang The Table, that specializes in increasing community engagement and participation.
“We’ve observed during the pandemic that our residents appreciate the ability to participate and weigh in on town issues at a time and place that is more convenient for them,” Danville Town Manager Joe Calabrigo said in the release. “I’m excited about the new site’s ability to expand the range of engagement and feedback options for our community members.”
