Accused Killer To Answer For Double Murder Charges

Defense attorney is denied a motion that would continue the preliminary hearing.

Daniel Marsh, the 16-year-old Davis teen who is accused of the double murder of Davis residents Oliver and Claudia Maupin, 86 and 76, respectively, will answer to the double murder charges against him.

The teenager appeared in a Yolo County courtroom this afternoon and was held to answer for the April stabbings of the elderly couple at their Davis home.

Earlier in the day, Marsh's attorney attempted to continue the preliminary hearing, but the motion was denied.

The case against the Davis teen is especially disturbing because Marsh was lauded as a hero back in 2009 when he apparently save the life of his father.
