Every month, cats come to the Yolo County Animal Service Shelter that are not adoptable as house pets for various reasons. However, these cats can find a happy second life on a farm, ranch or other suitable outdoor home
Yolo County Animal Shelter has a Barn Cat Program that offers cats to those who would like some help with rodent control and would like to help save the life of a cat in need. The cats are spayed or neutered and fully vaccinated.
Some of these cats may not be socialized to humans or others may have behavioral challenges that make finding a home difficult. The shelter is working hard to save the lives of these cats, meanwhile providing their owners with very effective rodent control.
