City Council Approves Water Rate Increases
Higher utility bills could be seen as soon as May.

The Davis City Council unanimously voted Tuesday (March 19) to approve a rate increase to help pay for the $113 million surface water project approved by voters in March.Â
The council voted 5-0. Water bills are expected to begin increasing in May, according to The Davis Enterprise. Â
Davis still relies on surface ground water for its city's water supply. With the new project, drinking water will be piped from Sacramento River to Davis.Â
