City Of Davis: City Hires New Chief Building Official

The City of Davis announced today that it has hired Brian Fenty as its new chief building official.

Fenty comes to the City with a wealth of experience in his field and was most recently the building official for Corte Madera in Marin County. He has also held building and planning positions with Napa County and the City of El Cerrito.

“The City is fortunate to hire someone of Brian’s caliber with over 18 years of experience as a building official,” said Ashley Feeney, Assistant City Manager. “Brian has a strong customer service ethic and is excited to contribute to a positive customer experience for those we serve.”

Fenty was eager to work in Davis calling it “the kind of city where one would like to live and grow up,” Fenty added, “I’m very enthusiastic about becoming part of the City of Davis team and look forward to working with the Davis community development customers.”

Fenty, a Bay Area native, commutes to Davis by train and resides in Martinez. He is quite familiar with Davis as one of his three grown children is a UC Davis graduate.
