City Of Davis: Low-Income Refund Program For Park Maintenance Tax And Open Space Protection Deadline Announced

Qualified low-income homeowners can receive a full refund of their Davis Park Maintenance Tax and Open Space Protection Tax for 2020-2021 by returning a completed city application form by July 16, 2021.

This is an annual refund program (not an exemption from the tax) that appears on your property tax bill. To be eligible, applicants must be owner-occupants of property in Davis and meet the low-income requirements for the gross or total combined household income.Â
Maximum income limits for both taxes are based on 50% of median income for your household size. For example, the total or gross combined household income for one cannot exceed $32,375, for a family of two it cannot exceed $37,000. The limit for a family of four is $46,250, and the limit for a family of eight is $61,050. Only one application is required for both refund programs.

to print an application or contact the Finance Department at financeweb@cityofdavis.org or 530-757-5651 to request an application.Â
City Hall at 23 Russell Blvd. will open to the public on June 15, and applications will also be available for pick-up at in the finance and City Manager’s offices and at the Davis Police Department at 2600 5th Street.Â
Residents can mail back completed applications to City Hall, drop them off in the parking lot drop box or return them in person once City Hall reopens.Â
