Yolo County Press Release - As part of an effort to increase access to COVID-19 vaccine, Yolo County is expanding the free call-to-order program to deliver and administer COVID-19 vaccine to residents in all of Yolo County until July 2.

Residents 12 and older who would like to get vaccinated at their home or business can call (530) 666-8665 at any time to schedule an appointment to be vaccinated. If an operator does not answer the phone, residents can leave a message and receive a call back to schedule their appointment. County staff will deliver and administer vaccine seven days a week between the hours of 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.

“Because we don’t want access to vaccines to stand in the way of Yolo County residents getting vaccinated, we are offering this unique opportunity for residents to get vaccinated at a time and place that work for them,” said Dr. Aimee Sisson, Yolo County’s Public Health Officer. “Getting vaccinated against COVID-19 doesn’t get any easier than this. I encourage anyone 12 and older to call us and we will bring a vaccine to them, anywhere in Yolo County, free of charge.”

In addition to this call-to-order program, Yolo County continues to host public vaccine clinics. Next week, Yolo County has scheduled four public vaccine clinics at the following locations:

Thursday, June 24 at the HHSA Bauer Building in Woodland from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Friday, June 25 at Woodland High School from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Friday June 25 at Clarksburg Community Church from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Sunday, June 27 at the River Cats Baseball game at Sutter Health Park starting at 1 p.m.

Residents can also get vaccinated through other vaccine administrators, including health care providers, community clinics, and pharmacies as well as Healthy Davis Together vaccine clinics. For a list of additional clinics, visit www.myturn.ca.gov.

It is recommended that all who are eligible (those age 12 and up) get vaccinated as soon as possible. Data show that the vaccines protect residents from currently circulating strains of COVID-19, significantly reducing the chance of becoming severely ill or dying from COVID-19. All vaccines have been shown to be safe and effective and are free. The more people who are vaccinated, the harder it is for COVID-19 to spread.
