DAVIS, CA -- Acts of vandalism that were committed on the campus of Davis High School last weekend are being investigated as possibly being part of hate crime, Davis police said Wednesday.
Lt. Art Camacho told the Davis Enterprise that the vandalism is believed to have occurred sometime Sunday and was reported Monday morning. Among the damage was graffiti spray-painted on school lockers, windows, walls and doors on the campus, located on West 14th Street.
“These markings ranged from profane and derogatory statements to drawings of male genitalia,” Camacho said, including what he called a “derogatory anti-sex-orientation slur,” the Enterprise reported.
