Davis Mom Accused of Killing Her Daughter Pleads Not Guilty
Talamantes is scheduled be in court again on Oct. 15, 10 a.m.

Aquelin Talamantes, the Davis mother who is accused of killer her own daughter, pled not guilty today in a Yolo County courtroom and was assigned a public defender. Â
Talamantes, 29, is accused of murdering her 5-year-old daughter, Tatianna Garcia. The body of the young girl was found in the vehicle that Talamantes allegedly drove to a relative's home on Thursday.  Â
When the relative saw that Talamantes son was with her, but not her daughter, they called police. Officers located the body of Tatianna inside the trunk of the car, according to authorities.Â
Officers and bystanders attempted to resuscitate the girl but were unable to bring her back, according to this story in the Sacbee.Â
The story stated that officers had contact with Talamantes hours before the girl's body was found.Â
Officers went to Talamantes' home on Glide Drive after finding her behavior concerning, according to the Sacbee, and after finding that the Talamantes' children were safe, they gave her some information on family resources and left the home.Â
Hours later, Talamantes would be arrested for the death of the girl. According to the Bee, Thursday's arrest is not Talamantes' first brush with the law.Â
The paper reported that in 2007, Talamantes was arrested on suspicion disorderly conduct while under the influence of a drug in Solano County; She also appeared in court for a traffic violation in July.Â
