Davis' Pellow Named to ITF Senior World Team Championships Squad

Ann Pellow to represent U.S. on 55 and under Connolly team and will compete in France June 8-13 against 29 other countries.

The USTA has announced that Ann Pellow of Davis is among the 24 players who will represent the United States at the ITF Seniors World Team Championships, the senior equivalent of tennis’ Davis Cup and Fed Cup competitions. The 24 American athletes will be competing against players from 29 other countries.

Pellow will compete on the Women’s 55 and under Connolly Cup team and this is her first time playing on an international Cup team. Currently the girls’ tennis coach at Woodland High School in Woodland, Pellow is originally from Denver, Colo., and was a walk-on tennis player at Pepperdine University.

The ITF Seniors World Team Championships is the highest-ranked event on the ITF Seniors Circuit for male and female players in the age categories 50-60 and will be held June 8-13 in La Baule, France.

The American women will be defending the title in the Maureen Connolly Cup (Women’s 55) for the fourth consecutive year.

Following the ITF Seniors World Team Championships, the World Individual Championships will be held June 14-21, also in La Baule.
