Davis Police Are Recruiting Volunteers at Saturday's Farmers Market

They're looking to fill a variety of roles.

The Davis Police Department is looking for volunteers to serve in a variety of roles, and they'll be recruiting the upcoming Farmers Market on June 1 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The volunteer roles would require "a few hours a week," according to the department. Here are some details about the positions:

Volunteers perform a wide variety of functions including, but not limited to, clerical duties, providing traffic control assistance at major city events, graffiti abatement, webpage and social media support, working in recreation programs, doing neighborhood presentations, and doing adopt-a-park or adopt-a-neighborhood project.

Volunteerism is invaluable to our City, and with your help, we can continue to improve the quantity and quality of services we provide to our community. We welcome applicants that are interested in ongoing, longer term positions, and individuals and groups looking for one-time volunteer events. Volunteer opportunities are available for those as young as 13 years old who can participate in the Police Cadet Program.
