
The Davis Police Department and Davis Unified School District is teaming up for a special project series The Parent Project.Â
The goal is to empower parents and transform teens. The course aims to teach parents the following:
• Learn how to never argue with your child again• Prevent or intervene in alcohol or drug useÂ
• Improve school attendance and performanceÂ
• Find resources to help your familyÂ
• Connect with other parents of Davis teensÂ
The 10-Week series starts on Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Da Vinci Charter Academy, 1400 E. 8th St.
The project will be taught by Trease Petersen, Davis Police Department Youth Intervention Specialist and Jen McNeil, DJUSD Prevention & Crisis ManagerÂ
