Davis Woman Found Guilty of Attempting to Run Over Boyfriend
Elena Lund-Tessler could face four years in state prison. Her her sentencing hearing is scheduled for Nov. 5.

A Davis woman could spend the next four years in prison after receiving a conviction of assault with a deadly weapon and hit and run with injury.
On Friday, Yolo District Attorney Jeff Reisig announced that a Yolo County jury convicted 34-year-old Elena Lund-Tessler on the aforementioned crimes.
On June 4, 2011, Lund-Tessler and her boyfriend drove from her Davis home to Kenny’s Bar in Woodland. Lund-Tessler was asked to leave because of her unacceptable behavior, according to reports.
They drove to the man’s home in Woodland and parked outside where the duo began arguing. The boyfriend got out of the passenger seat and was walking to his home when Lund-Tessler drove her car over the victim’s foot crushing it.
The man’s brother heard the screeching tires and ran outside to help his brother get out of the road, according to the District Attorney's office.
He then saw Lund-Tessler drive in a circle around the cul-de-sac, drive up onto their driveway over the lawn and attempt to run down her boyfriend. Lund-Tessler accelerated away from the scene.
Woodland Police Department and Davis Police Department officers located Lund-Tessler’s car with front end damage abandoned about six to eight houses away from her home in Davis. She later turned herself into Davis Police Department.
Yolo County District Attorney Jeff Reisig stated, “As we approach October, which is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, this is an important reminder that Domestic Violence is still an epidemic across in this County which affects both men and women.”
As a result of this conviction, Lund-Tessler will no longer be able to hold a valid driver’s license in the State of California. Lund-Tessler will be sentenced by the Honorable Timothy L. Fall on November 5, 2013. She faces a sentence ranging from probation to four years and eight months in prison.
