Dutch Cyclist Criticizes Biking in the US, Davis Gets Some Praise

The biking world in the United States is far removed from the one in Netherlands. Back in July, a Dutch biking blogger visited the U.S. to do some biking and share his observations on the biking world in the U.S.

He filmed a short documentary and featured Davis, which he says "almost looks Dutch."  

Bike stands in Davis got praise, but the lack of infrastructure, blogger Mark Wagenbuur says, is a reason why most bicyclists in town ride around in helmets and Lycra spandex. 

Overall, Wagenbuur criticizes the biking world in the U.S., for biking to be less of a way to get around, and more of a race, and for the apparent lack of safety U.S. bicyclists possess.
