First Street Night Closures on Tap

First Street is undergoing street improvements to upgrade and improve transportation circulation. Beginning Monday, Aug. 19 at 10 p.m., night work will begin between A-G streets. The work will last 3-4 nights during the hours of 10 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. 

Portions of First Street will be closed for nighttime construction activities. Drivers are advised to avoid the Richards Boulevard entrance to downtown during the nighttime work, due to the First Street closure.

However, the work will be phased so an entrance into downtown from Richards will be available at all times. Detour signage will be posted.
