Giants' World Series Trophies Embarking On Viewing Tour

Save the date: Jan. 13 in Vacaville.

All three San Francisco Giants World Series trophies are going on a tour of California and other western states, team officials announced today.

After the Giants’ third World Series championship in five years, the trophies in January are embarking on their third tour to benefit the team’s Junior Giants program.

The Junior Giants is a free non-competitive baseball program for 22,000 boys and girls in 87 underserved communities in northern and central California and southern Oregon.

The trophies will be open to the public for viewing at each stop and admission is free, but a small donation is recommended to benefit the Junior Giants program, team officials said.

Most stops will be in California but stops are also planned in Oregon, Arizona and Nevada as well as one stop in the team’s former home of New York City.
