Guinda Fire: Fast-Growing Yolo County Blaze Visible In Napa

The fire erupted Saturday afternoon.

YOLO COUNTY, CA -- A fire erupted Saturday afternoon in Yolo County. Officials said the fire erupted around 2:12 p.m., scorching 1,000 acres by 5 p.m.

The fire was at County Road 63 and Highway 16, but could be seen as far as Napa and Sonoma counties. Officials said the fire was being driven by red flag weather conditions consisting of high temperatures, gusty winds and low humidities.

Evacuations were ordered for homes between County Road 63 to County Road 76, west of Highway 16 plus the Murphy Ranch Area. An evacuation center was set up at Rumsey Grange Hall.
