New Dance Class for Children Ages 6+

Dance Daze Davis is excited to offer an extended version of the Contemporary dance class we began in the spring! Previously, our 60-minute Contemporary class focused on allowing students to develop their strength, musicality, and rhythm, while learning to use movement as a form of expression. Now, in addition to the above, students will also be exposed to classical ballet technique, using the principles of dance found in the American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum, in a 90-minute class. This class will be co-taught by Saumirah McWoodson, Dance Daze, Inc. founder, ABT Certified Teacher, and current doctoral student at the University of the Pacific and Dance Daze Davis instructor Hannah Contois, a recent UC Davis graduate (Plant Biology) and the Director of the UC Davis Released Contemporary Dance Company. Classical Ballet & Contemporary is held on Saturdays from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm.
