Spirit Halloween Stores Opening Soon, Davis
In 2016, the popular Halloween costume purveyor is also helping make hospitals less scary for kids and their families.

Little ghouls and goblins will soon rejoice because the Spirit Halloween store, which ghosts into cities across California every September, is about to open for the season. The popular costume purveyor also sells hundreds of accessories, costumes and creepy decorations for Halloween.
According to the National Retail Federation, Halloween enthusiasts were expected to spend close to $7 billion on Halloween essentials in 2015.

This year, Spirit is also participating in the "Spirit of Children" program, which focuses on making hospitals less scary for kids and their families. Customers are encouraged to donate when shopping and donations to Spirit of Children stay within local communities, according to a Spirit spokesperson.

“Spirit encourages customers to help make a difference in a child's life this Halloween season by donating at their local Spirit Halloween or spreading awareness via Facebook and Instagram by using #SpiritofChildren in their photos,” Spirit representatives said in a statement.
