UC Davis Allegedly Spent Nearly $200K To Clean-Up Image

Following the protester pepper-spraying in 2011, the university reportedly contracted to improve the image of Chancellor Linda Katehi also.

DAVIS, CA- UC Davis has been working hard to repair their online image, contracting consultants for $175,000 to help improve reputations following the protester pepper-sprayings in November 2011, according to the SacBee.

SacBee reports that payments were made from the university to improve the image of both the university and the school’s chancellor Linda P.B. Katehi.

UC Davis Pepper Spray: Looking Back One Year Later

Some contract payments were reportedly made attempting to improve search engine results by computer users when searching for information Katechi or the university, while other payments were made to devise a plan strategic social media communications, reports the SacBee.
