West Sacramento to Honor Fallen Heroes on 9/11 With Flag Tribute
Annual 9/11 Flag Tribute In West Sacramento takes place at the corner of Jefferson Boulevard and South River Road on Wednesday.

John Vinson his family, and a small group of patriotic Americans will set up the annual "9-11 Memorial and Flag Tribute" Monday and it will remain set up through the evening of September 11, 2013.Â
Wednesday will mark the 12th anniversary of the horrendous tragedies that occurred on September 11th, 2001. The "9-11 Memorial and Flag Tribute" is set up every year to remind Americans of the tragedies, loss and heroic sacrifices that took place on that infamous day and how they changed our nation forever.Â
"The memorial has really grown over the years" stated founder and organizer John Vinson. "It has grown to something that we could have never really imagined when I started it many years ago with just 25 flags, and people thought that was cool. We are now up to over 500 flags, numerous memorials, and it has become a yearly tradition for many folks," he continued.
This year a bugler will be coming  from a group called Buglers Across America. He and his fellow buglers will blow taps simultaneously across the nation at the exact times the four planes hit, allowing for the time difference. At the "9-11 Memorial and Flag Tribute" our bugler will blow taps at 5:46 a.m., 6:03 a.m., 6:13 a.m., and 7:10 a.m., on September 11th.

"The field has become many things to many people. It is a place of healing, a place of forgiveness, and a place to teach younger generations about the importance of patriotism and solidarity as one united group of Americans. We celebrate the strength and resilience of the American spirit and we take time to appreciate all that we are offered and allowed in this great country of ours," concluded Vinson.
