Alameda County Courts Lift Mask Requirements For Vaccinated
Here's how you can self-attest to your vaccination status.
ALAMEDA COUNTY, CA — The Alameda County Superior Court will lift its mask requirement for fully vaccinated people Monday, bringing the court in line with the state's most recent face covering guidance.
People who enter Alameda County Superior Court who are not at least two weeks past their final COVID-19 vaccination or who decline to self-attest to their vaccination status will still be required to keep wearing a mask, the court announced Thursday.
Prospective jurors will be able to attest their vaccination status at the court's Jury Services office in their respective reporting courthouse, but will be required to wear a face covering until they do so.

People will be prohibited from entering any court facility if they have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 10 days, are not fully vaccinated and have had close contact with a coronavirus-positive person in the previous 14 days or if they have shown symptoms in the previous 24 hours.
Court visitors will also be encouraged to give others space but will no longer be required to maintain social distancing of at least 6 feet.

Court officials expect to reopen more courtrooms for in-person legal hearings in the coming weeks, but virtual court appearances are still encouraged for the time being. Updated information about the court's health and safety protocols can be found at http://www.alameda.courts.ca.gov.
