Dublin Woman Arrested For Attempted Murder: Police

Police in Mountain View say that she crashed her vehicle into a man on purpose.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA ? A Dublin woman was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in Mountain View Tuesday night after she purposefully ran over a man, police say.

Investigators report that the man and woman had previously been in a relationship.

Alexis McBride, 24, is accused of purposefully hitting the man's vehicle as they both drove Tuesday night, causing the man to crash.

Police say that when he got out of his car to inspect the damage, McBride allegedly accelerated toward him, hitting both him and his vehicle once again.

McBride drove away but returned a short time later while patrol officers were still investigating the crash. Officers detained her.

She was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, hit and run and corporal injury to a spouse or co-inhabitant. She was booked into the Santa Clara County Jail.

An update on the man's condition is not available. Police say that he is a 24-year-old East Palo Alto resident.
