Celebration of Life for Former Dublin Resident Susan Yukiko Iguchi

Susan Yukiko Iguchi died on November 30 at 8 p.m. in John C. Lincoln Hospital Deer Valley, AZ from complications in her cancer treatments. Susan just celebrated her 65th birthday and 10 year wedding anniversary to Bob Iguchi. Suzi and Bob have been travelling around the world with an early anniversary trip to Maui in September. Germany in October for hyperthermia cancer treatments at Klinik Marinus. Suzi and Bob were in Phoenix the month of November to obtain IPT treatments at Euro-med US.

Susan passed away in her sleep after doctors had tried to save her from a severe anemic reaction to the IPT chemo that Euro-med was giving her. Suzi was a fighter and had a strong will to live and help others. Suzi will be remembered for many things but her chocolate chip cookies, warm and inviting personality and beautiful smile were clearly some of the things we will remember most about Suzi.

Suzi was born on April 12,1949 to Masami and Miyuki Nawata in Berkeley, California. Suzi had 2 sisters Phylis and Janet who grew up with her in Berkeley, California. The family was active in the Berkeley Buddhist Sanga. Suzi graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Cal State San Francisco with a major in Physical Therapy. Suzi started two medical transcription companies who had clients like Kaiser Permanente, Sutter Hospital, and Children’s Hospital.

Suzi has two loving daughters from her first marriage to Dale Kadani. Heather and Tiffany were loved by Suzi very much. Heather married Aaron Marler and lives in Sacramento, CA, Tiffany is married to Chris Braniff and lives in Fairfax, Virginia.’ Suzi married Bob Iguchi on November 27, 2004 on the beach in Makena, Maui. Bob and Suzi most recently lived in Dublin, CA.

Suzi loved to bake cookies, help at SACBC church, visit with her daughters and sisters with nieces and nephews and go shopping at Trader Joe’s, Sprouts, Whole Foods, and Walmart.

She loved her home and the Dublin metro area. Suzi is survived by her loving husband, Bob Iguchi, her daughters Tiffany and Heather, Bob’s kids Chris and Jenna, her 97 yr old father, Masami Nawata, and her sisters, Phylis and Janet and many, cousins, nieces and nephews.
