At its meeting held on Tuesday, June 1, the Dublin City Council took a number of actions.  Below is a summary of actions taken:

  • Welcomed new City of Dublin employees: Jordan Foss, Management Analyst II in Public Works Department, and Shalini Reddy, Senior Office Assistant in the Parks and Community Services Department.
  • Proclaimed the Month of June as Elder Abuse Awareness Month.
  • Approved the minutes of the May 18, 2021, Special City Council Meeting and Regular City Council Meeting.
  • Approved a list of projects funded in Fiscal Year 2021-22 by Senate Bill 1, the Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017. 
  • In accordance with State law, adopted the annual Appropriations Limit for Fiscal Year 2021-22 of $419,772,690.  
  • Approved an agreement with Lynx Technologies, Inc., for GIS Consulting Services.
  • Approved the following proclamations in the City of Dublin for the Month of June: National Flag Day and National Flag Week; African American Music Appreciation Month; National Caribbean American Heritage Month; National Great Outdoors Month; National Homeownership Month; National Ocean Month; Juneteenth; and National Gun Violence Awareness Day and Month.
  • Approved an agreement with Cascadia Consulting Group, Inc., for Senate Bill 1383 Implementation Assistance; approved an agreement with HF&H Consultants, LLC, for Solid Waste Franchise Agreement Amendment and Senate Bill 1383 implementation; and approved an agreement with Surf to Snow Environmental Resource Management, Inc., for Stormwater Inspections and Illicit Discharge Response Services.
  • Approved an agreement with the County of Alameda to provide 23 hours of library services per week at the Dublin Public Library for Fiscal Year 2021-22.
  • Approved consulting services agreements for contract Planning, Housing, and Building services on an as-needed basis.  The contract will cover a three-year term that expires June 30, 2024.
  • Approved Kaiser Road as a new private street, which runs along the west side of Kaiser Medical Center.
  • Approved a Storm Drainage Maintenance Agreement between the City of Dublin and Dublin Crossing, LLC.
  • Approved a Contract Services Agreement with Sierra Display, Inc., for street banner services.
  • Amended Article IV (Abatement of Vicious Dogs) of Section 5.36 (Animal Control) of the Dublin Municipal Code regarding potentially dangerous and vicious dogs. The Ordinance adds the "potentially dangerous dog" designation; updates determination and notice processes; extends administrative timelines; adds an appeal process; modernizes certain terminology; and establishes fines for violation of the Ordinance.
  • Appointed James Morehead to serve as City of Dublin Poet Laureate.
  • Approved and authorized the Mayor to execute the First Amendment to the City Manager's Employment Agreement and authorized the payment of $10,000 as Pay-for-Performance for the City Manager's performance in 2020.
  • Amended the item and approved funding for Fiscal Year 2021-22 Human Services Grant Program with funds from the Community Development Block Grant and the American Rescue Plan Act.
  • Approved the Engineer's Report, confirming diagram and assessment, and ordering levy of assessment for City of Dublin Street Lighting Maintenance District 1983-1; Landscape and Lighting District 1983-2; Landscape and Lighting District 1986-1; Landscape and Lighting District 1997-1; and Street Lighting Maintenance District 1999-1.
  • Adopted the proposed Five-Year Capital Improvement Program 2020-2025 Update.
  • Adopted the City's budget for Fiscal Year 2021-22 and related additional resolutions regarding personnel salary and classification plans.
  • Joined the Community Improvement Authority, an affiliate of the California Statewide Communities Development Authority (CSCDA) and approved a Public Benefit Agreement, approving the issuance of bonds for the acquisition of the Waterford Place Apartments to create middle-income housing.
